Hi nice projects you have picked. Not for softies. But what will you build next weekend? Have fun with these really extraordinary vehicles. I look forward to updates.
small little update on first project which im also thinking of making copys of the diffrent parts so that it is lighter. And this diecast is made by conrad as well
first up is the tracks which are made of plastic but are going to have rubber treads added so moving will be easy to do
next is the main bucket which all of it is diecast metal which the only bit that moves is where the string is attached and the rear part of the bucket
next up is the underside of the main body which the motor inside will be the main bucket motor and also the base plate of the body which also metal
In this picture where my fingers are will be where the main bucket arm wire will go for moving boom arm into place for scooping
and here is the main wheels which u can see they were a bit lazy in painting which just typical but will be made in silicone rubber for better grip
here is the main drive body which also metal but as you can see the 3v motor can fit in the underside of the frame but is for what can fit but the rear axal is gona be a challenge as to find a motor to look like the axal and yet 1 more wheel to comwe out with yet another great paintjob lol but so far so many challenges ahead lol
its been a while since working on these as time is taking toll
the pictures following are of the dump truck and electronics placement which only thing missing is the 2 linear servos for the steering which will be 1.5g 3d flight servos x2, each with a brass/steel arm attached to the rear dump part of the truck.
it will house either 2 or 3 3.7v lipo batters which 1 will be reciver battery, 1 will be for lighting and other for the servos and motors.
